Wheelchair Transports

Gurney Transports
We transport bed-bound patients safely and comfortably. Every vehicle is gurney equipped.
Bariatric Transports
Our vehicles are equipped with extra wide power gurneys built for patients 280 lbs and up. Comfort and safety aren't an afterthought for us.
Oxygen Support
Every van we run has oxygen tanks on board. Whether you need 1 liter or 12, we've got you covered.
Stair Accessibility
Stairs aren't a barrier for us. Our mobile stair chairs can safely transport any patient up and down, no problem.
Backboard Transfer
Our backboards let us safely transfer immobile patients when a wheelchair or gurney can't fit.
About Us
Cornerstone Medical Transportation came out of 15 years in nursing and a lot of frustration watching patient transport get treated like an afterthought. We know what patients need because we've been at the bedside. Every van, every driver, every interaction is built around that.Our ambulette vans are custom built and equipped for transporting wheelchair and gurney patients in non-emergency situations.Power assisted gurneys and wheelchair lifts get patients in and out safely. Once inside, wheelchairs and gurneys lock to the floor and every patient is buckled in.All of our vehicles are ADA approved and every driver on our team is CPR and First Aid certified. We don't just get you where you need to go... We make sure you get there safe and sound.

FAQs
How do I book a ride? Just give us a call at (408) 123-4567. That's it. No online forms, no phone trees... A real person picks up and gets you set up.
Do you accept insurance? Yes. We work with Medicaid, Medicare managed plans, private insurance, and private pay. Give us a call and we can walk you through your options.
What if I need a ride outside of business hours? We're available 24/7. It doesn't matter what time it is. If you need a ride, we're here.
How far in advance do I need to book? We recommend 2 to 3 days ahead if you can, but we know that's not always possible. We do same-day rides too. Just call us and we'll figure it out.
Do you do round trips? Yes. Whether it's a drop off or a round trip, we handle both. Just let us know when you book.
What counties do you serve? We're based in the Bay Area: San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland. But if you need to go further, we can do that too. We've driven patients to Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego, even up to Oregon. As long as you're starting from the Bay Area, we'll get you where you need to go.
Do you work with hospitals and SNFs? We do, and we've been working with facilities in the Tri-County area since 2010. If you want to talk about setting something up, give us a call.
What if my appointment takes longer than expected? Don't worry about it. Just let us know and we'll adjust. We're not going anywhere.
